Universal Pictures has released the trailer to Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs biographical film. The Danny Boyle-directed picture is largely set backstage at three of the most iconic product launches in Apple’s history, concluding in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac. According to the film’s own website, “Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicentre.”

The film stars Michael Fassbender as Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, which in many ways seems like an odd casting. However having watched the trailer, Fassbender who doesn’t look or sound all that much like Jobs, manages to capture Steve essence, ego and eccentricity beautifully. The film also stars Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, Seth Rogan as Steve Wozniak and Jeff Daniels as John Sculley. The film is due to hit theatres on October 9th 2015.
