Apple’s WWDC 2015, World Wide Developers Conference took place yesterday. Although there was plenty of new software refinements and enhancements, very little could be considered truly innovative. Perhaps we’ve come to expect too much from these events.
iOS 9 gave us improvements to Siri, advanced Transit maps, Caller ID matching, split screen multitasking and picture in picture for the iPad and better battery life. OS X El Capitan was perhaps less generous with amendments to Safari, a split view expose / mission control system, Metal graphics engine, updates to Notes and Spotlight search. WatchOS for the iWatch now allows developers to produce native apps for it.
