The long awaited CES-debuted Eee Pad Slider from ASUS is due to hit stores in the US by the end of this month from $475 for the 16GB model with a 32GB model following for $575. This unique slate features a slide-out full qwerty keyboard that resides under a 10.1-inch capacitive multi-touch display at a resolution of 1280 x 800. Whats more the screen is housed in Corning Gorilla glass with an impressive 178 degree viewing angle. The hardware specs provide ample power thanks to a Dual-Core Nvidia Tegra 2 SoC processor at 1.2GHz and 1GB of RAM.

Front and rear cameras ensure you’ll enjoy immersive video chat calls and storage capacity can be increased by microSD and microSDHC expansion. As you might expect Wi-Fi 802.11n, GPS and an Accelerometer come as standard along with a mini HDMI port. The Eee Pad Slider runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb as it’s OS of choice. At just 498 grams this sleek and stylish slate offers a lightweight and powerful alternative to some of the more clunkier convertible Tablet options on the market thus far.
