If your looking for a business-rugged notebook with 4G capabilities then check out Dell’s updated E6420. It offers a 14-inch display and a slightly armored top to bottom with hard-wearing and MIL-STD 810G tested Tri-Metal casing, powder-coated base and spill resistant keyboard. The machine is very much built to last with highly durable anodized aluminum display back, a tough powder-coated base, reinforced steel hinges, a magnesium alloy internal frame and zinc alloy latch.

The hardware specs include your choice of the latest Sandy Bridge CPUs with Core i3, i5 and i7 processors available. RAM scales to 8GB, graphics options include the Intel HD Graphics 3000 and NVIDIA NVS 4200M (DDR3 512MB) Discrete Graphics with Optimus switching technology. Storage can be maxed out at 500GB. Ports and I/O provide Memory card reader, 54 mm ExpressCard, Docking Connector, Contactless SmartCard Reader/Fingerprint Reader, VGA, HDMI and USB 3.0 Module option via optical bay. Prices for the Dell E6420 start from $1,284. The addition of the Verizon LTE 4G functionality comes thanks to a DW5800 mini-card, which costs an extra $249 not including the monthly plan.
