Panasonic have updated their rough and tumble ToughBook H2 Tablet with new Intel Core i5 CPUs and increased RAM and storage options. The magnesium alloy chassis remains the same and boasts military grade protection from the elements. The boosted specs offer a 1.7GHz vPro processor with up to 8GB of RAM, 320GB of storage with 128GB of SSD available, 10.1″ XGA display at 1024 x 768, Touchscreen and digitizer, Circular polarizer, anti-reflective and anti-glare screen treatments, 2MP camera, 6.5 hours of battery life and hot-swappable twin batteries.

Among the other unique ToughBook style features found on the H2 include a 6 foot drop rating, Fanless fully sealed design, Covered ports, TransflectivePlus and Panasonic CircuLumin technology with up to 6000 nit under direct sunlight, Barcode reader, Insertable SmartCard reader and a Fingerprint reader. Naturally Wi-Fi and Bluetooth come as standard with 3G and 4G optional. The Panasonic ToughBook H2 runs Windows 7 Professional in 32 and 64-bit versions and is expected launch this month for $3,449.
