Sony has updated their VAIO C & E Notebooks with some beautiful new color options along with the latest CPUs from Intel. The E series range, which includes 14, 15.5 and 17.3-inch models now boast the latest Sandy Bridge Core i3 and i5 processors along with graphics processing power supplied by the AMD Fusion platform. AMD CPUs are also included in the customization options with the E-350 dual-core processor and the Mobility Radeon HD6130 providing ample horsepower. Four new color options have been added with blue, white, black and pink now available. The machines also boast HDMI output, dimpled touchpad, edge-to-edge isolated keyboard with number pad on the 15.5-inch and 17.3-inch models. Prices start from $550 and all three editions are available to pre-order from Sony now.
The C series is unchanged in terms of specifications although a second generation Core i5 CPU is available on select models. Sony are now offering two additional color choices with Thunder Blue and Neon Red. Display sizes include 14 and 15.5-inches and come equipped with Blu-Ray and AMD Radeon HD 6630M graphics, which provide 1GB of Hybrid graphics. Sony Imagination Studio also comes bundled as an optional extra and Windows 7 Home Premium preinstalled. The machines also sport backlit keyboards, roughly 8-hours of battery life and HD webcams with Exmor sensors. Prices start from $730.
