Its been a busy day at Computex 2011 with plenty of new product launches and ViewPad have dished up an impressive Tablet challenger of their own. The ViewPad 10Pro offers a 10-inch capacitive display at a resolution of 1024 x 768. Uniquely it features an Intel Atom Oak Trail CPUs at a clock speed of 1.5GHz this allows for the ability to dual-boot between Android 2.2 and Windows 7. Other features include 32GB of storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and microSD slot for additional expansion. The battery life is estimated to provide 4.5 hours of 1080p video playback. The tablet can switch OS from Windows to Android almost instantaneously and the reason for this is because technically it is not a dual-booting device but rather Android is being run within Windows as an App. This is achieved by Bluestacks virtualization software.

The ViewPad 10Pro only offers a front facing 1.3MP camera for video calling so you won’t be using this for taking pictures, video or augmented reality. The Tablet comes as standard with 1GB of RAM. Additional I/O includes 1 HDMI port, microUSB port and an audio jack. Theres also an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, compass and GPS. Viewsonic have not provided any details yet on pricing or availability.
