Adding to the mix of slim form factor business laptops, Samsung have introduced 3 new models known as Series 2, 4 and 6. Included features well known to business notebook owners include spill resistant keyboards and extremely hardened chassises. These machines are physically tough without being bulky or rugged.
The specs for Series 2 are as follows: 12.5 to 14 inch display options, Intel Celeron and Core i3 CPU configurations available. 2GB or 4 GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive as standard. Series 4 delivers more horsepower with Core i3, i5 and i7 CPUs at varying clock speeds. RAM is scalable to 6GB with larger hard drives also. Both Series 2 and 4 offer display resolutions of 1366 x 768. All machines across the lineup include USB 3 and webcams. Finally Series 6 provides the option of a larger 15 inch display at 1600 x 900 resolution and the latest Sandy Bridge Core series processors, RAM options of 8GB with solid state drives and discrete GPUs. Samsung have not been forthcoming with pricing details as of yet but Series 2 and 4 are expected to be available in April and Series 6 to be launched in May. Stay tuned on this one. These look to be competitive business minded notebooks that may tempt average consumers also if prices are aggressive enough.
